I am thinking about converting one of my 10/22's into a 17HM2 my problem is I keep going back and forth on whether it's worth it or not.....I plan to buy a centerfire rifle in the near future chambered in .223 or .308 so I'm sure this would get used the most at the range. I would then still have my 10/22 racerifle for cheap shooting. I'm trying to decide if it would be worth having the 10/22 and 17HM2 or just putting the money towards the new rifle. Any and all advice and comments are appreciated.

The 17HM2 has never really intrigued me too much. So I'd put the money towards something else if I were you.
Just my opinion though.
