So I am looking at buying a NAA mini revolver. I am debating on which barrel I should get. Will the LONGER 1 5/8" really make much of a deference compared to the 1 1/8". I know that I should not expect very much accuracy out of either. Thank you in advance.

You would probably want the higher velocity out of the 1 5/8'' barrel, but that is really quite short so I'm think it might be a moot point(\__/)

I don't think the longer ones are on the approved list, unless your looking for used? On the NAA web site, they have the velositits for the various barrels, there is only a tiny difference in the 1 1/8 vs the 1 5/8 so I went with the shorter.Comment

Are you going to be shooting from 1 ft or 3ft? You'll need the longer barrel if you are shooting 3ft+.

Well if the longer barrel is not on the approved list I will have a easy decision to make. Do you know if the MINI MAGNUM is approved in California. I did not think it was but the guy at the gun shop told me it was. I take anything I hear at the gun store with a grain of salt.sigpicComment

check out you tube for a guy shooting balloons at like 100 feet with a pug which has th 1 5/8 inch barrel i believe. Either way, you should be able to put bullets on a 8X11 sheet of paper at like 15 feet but i doubt you can acrruactly hit the bullseye at that range with either one. its a great little gun and a crap load of fun. plus its so fricken cheap to buy and shoot that its really worth it and everyone wants to try it out cuz its so cute. if you want to carry it around on your belt buckle, you gotta get the shorter one though cuz the longer barrel wont fit into the belt buckle they sell. the longer barrel one will also let you shoot .22wmr if you get the combo kit one which is friggen loud as hell adn gives you a great flash. lots of fun!Comment

NAA mini's are very well made little revolvers. I have the .22lr with a 1 1/8", it tucks away in the change pocket of my jeans and accuracy is easily minute of bad guy at 15ft.When the battle drum beats, it is too late to sharpen your sword."

Get the magnum, with the LR spare cylinder.The extra length of the cylinder means you won't get your trigger finger gas cut and full of lead shavings, if you have large paws.They are a hoot to shoot!Comment

Well I bought the 1 1/8" LR version. Since the first time I ever saw a NAA mini revolver that is the one I have wanted. The velocity is a bit less on the smaller barrel but I highly doubt I will ever use it in a self defense situation. It is more just a fun gun and probably around the house gun when I do not feel like carrying something bigger. I might be more excited to get this gun than anything I have ever bought.sigpicComment

Fun gun indeed. I bought one a few months ago. Try shooting a box of Colibi or CCi CB's out of it, it is so quiet its comical. If the light is right at the outdoor range, you can actually watch the bullet travel in an arc. Watch your fingers and hand, its to stupid short it is very easy to cover yourself with the muzzle. The stock grips are pretty useless, I am going to try the boot grips.Comment

^+1, that's the only reason I got mine. I have the holster grip on mine, it gives you a better grip and it has a clip that you can clip to your pants pocket. I always carry it when I go hiking, it looks like a pocket knife.When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say,
