Ruger 10/22 Value?

I have a new unfired Ruger 10/22 in perfect condition.
Serial number is 121-34xxx.
What can you Rimfire Guys tell me about its value?
As far as pics go, it looks just like this one

LOL, $100? Come on dude.

Your particular 10/22 was made in 1981. That's pretty awesome to have one that old in that condition. Don't really think it's worth more than a "modern" one, but it could be to the right person. Don't sell it for that guy's price, that's a joke. I think the older ones were made "better" – metal trigger guard I think etc.

If it is an older model with the metal trigger group, and I am assuming a decent crown on the barrel, then ~200ish would be decent. If you put it up for less, like 180, I see it getting snatched up very quickly. I think a modern all metal (non-match) trigger group goes for about 100.

I am a big fan of the classic 10/22, it was made better, no doubt about it.

To give some background, I paid about 200 for a 70s model which was in decent condition, a little dirty, but a little elbow grease and now you wouldn't be able to tell.

i would say 180-200 is a reasonable price for your 10-22.

WRONG! I got a Stainless steel one for $99+tax+25 DROS (132 or so OTD) not too long ago. I put it in a folding stock for now while bplvr refinishes the it for me.

I bought my 1981 10/22 for 180 last year at a pawnshop. Mine has the deluxe stock with no barrel band. Also came with a leather sling and decent rimfire scope. FWIW

The first thing I always ask when I see something like this is, where did you get it? Why, well, a legitimate acquired weapon, is in fact worth something. If the answer is, I just ended up with it, not worth the worry of where it came from.

Anybody who knows me knows that this weapon is legitimate. But if you have to know I got it at Bright Spot Pawn in Riverside. I just wasn't sure how much or how old it is. Now I know. Thanks for the replies.

Alot of people post up their stuff wanting to get what they paid for it and it never sells. If you post it for $100 maybe even $150 it will sell. If you post it up higher, your buyer might consider just buying a new one

I knew someone would have to prove me wrong. No offense but that thing looks like ish, barrel is pitted to hell. It works, so yea, that's great for you. I'm sure you can find beat to hell 10/22s for around $100 but not readily available. My point is it will be very tough to find a brand new condition 10/22 for $100 on the regular market is all.

Not that I don't believe you, but I haven't seen anything in the Classifieds for the last 5 months where a 10/22 has been $100. You're right it depends how desperate you are to sell. 90% of sellers here price too high and that's prolly why they have such a hard time selling stuff.
