    Dedicated .22LR AR

This is a noob question pertaining to a rimfire AR platform I'm thinking about building. I just want to know does a dedicated .22lr Rimfire AR need a BB to meet CA DOJ laws? Or are all the CA deemed "evil" features good to go? Such as a detachable magazine, pistol grip, telescoping stock and flash hider.

    Thank you in advanced!

No bullet button is required for rimfire rifles... The BB is only needed on centerfire rifles.

So can you use your OLL lower and a .22lr upper with the evil features, without a bullet button?

Yes u can use an oll with a dedicated upper, ur point of issue comes around if u decide to be versitle and switch uppers from 22lr to 223 as an example. If u don't reengage the BB u r in violation

If u decide to just get a fully dedicated AR 22lr like the cmmg or S&W 15-22 then u r good

Is there a magazine capacity limit on rimfire?
