Marlin 795 Laminate Thumbhole Stocks

Does anyone know where to find the Marlin 795 Laminate thumbhole stocks that some people on the internet have?

Not the gray laminate from Marlin, but the one with the thumb cut-out pistol grip style that comes in like a red/orange pattern.

Boyd's only does a certain number of runs on these stocks. It is not something that they carry in inventory all the time. So if you want one and can pre-order I suggest that you do that. When Boyd's gets them in the folks over at RimFireCentral.com snap them up pretty darn fast.

Also you might check to "For Sale" section at RimFireCentral, occasionally one comes up for sale.

There was a thread on this not too long ago. The stocks need a few modifications to fit the 795.

And that boyds model 60 needs the trigger guard area to be expanded at least 40% then the final sand and laminate. Toooo much darn work the fact he does not stock 795s and 60s screams lazy

Boyds runs them at times and there is a few on fleeBay.

I've done a couple and it is not real hard. They can be done with hand tools or in a vice with a router(just go slow).

Of course you can get a custom stock made, but it's going to cost a heck of a lot more than if it were something they normally did.
