Savage and CZ come to mind. The Savage will probably run you less, and both use a deatchable magazine.

Depends on the budget and your needs also, but Anschutz is another besides the CZ and Savage.

I have all 3 in RH models and various calibers.

I would learn to shoot right handed. It is a b*tch to find/buy/sell left handed rifles.

I can shoot right handed, i just prefer to shoot left, Im not to worried about the time to find and buy one, and i dont really plan on selling it, so back to my question

does anyone know how the Anschutz compares to the CZ452, does anyone have any experience with both

I have always shot left handed and have many LH bolt guns. The first LH 22 that I owned was a Remington (can't remember the model) that I bought new in the early 70's. It was a great clip fed rifle with an adult size stock. Then Browning built there T bolts left handed and Anschutz (one of the finest rifles ever built) started building them. Now there are Savages (sort of a pedestrian rifle) and the wonderful CZ line. Remington builds there 40X target rifles in .22 out of the custom gun shop and Ruger may have built one in there nice bolt rifles (Grey matter failing). There are lots of choices these days from new or used. I saw a great Anschutz for sale in Brentwood that had a high end scope for 2500.00 last week.......The high end guns are a lifetime investment and usually well worth the additional entrance costs.

Anschutz makes pretty good rifles. The CMP will sell you a nice one, left handed for a most excellent price. Problem is you will be very disappointed in an "Annie" unless you shoot very well. They be expensive.

The CZ has been called the poor mans Anschutz. They are expensive and have been around for a very, very long time. From the bench my 1502D will put 5rds @50yrds in one hole IF I can do my part. My CZ is a VERY close second, however out in the field you can't tell the difference. Bud's Gun shop in KY carries both as I'm sure others do too.

thanks Hotrod9mm, that helps alot, i think im going to go for the CZ452 after looking at the prices
now comes the decision between the American and the lux, i would like to have iron sights, but at the same time i like the look of the american better and think it would be good to learn how to use a scope, any opinions

btw, are you the same Hotrod9mm as from snipers hide forums?
