    Tactical Solutions Barrel Ruger 10/22

I have a standard steel bull barrel and I am looking to cut down on some weight, is this the way to go?

    Thanks

Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

This barrel is light and EXTREMELY accurate (and they sell to CA with no problems.)

Cut down on some weight ..

With those barrels it is a Night and Day differance
      on the weight .

      My local shop has them.
But I think I am going to buy from Gunbroker.

There are a few more accurate barrels out there but still a HUGE improvement. Yes they are much lighter

They are almost too light. I just held a completed gun last week that had a tac sol barrel and there is no muzzle weight so the ballance felt off.

TacSol barrel will lighten you rifle, so much so that shooting off hand will be challenging. Out in the field I rest against a fence post or tree for stability.

They are lighter, much lighter, than a steel barrel so it has more felt recoil and muzzle flip when bench shooting (not a heck of a lot though, it is a .22) but easier to carry around in the field. You just might have to try both. Doesn't hurt to have an extra barrel.

I am looking at getting a TacSol barrel as well. Light barrel+ folding stock + swappable barrels + tech sights= one fun rifle.

I put one on my sons rifle with a rapture stock and it is a sweet shooter. Balances very well with that stock.

I bought the threaded stainless steel version with a comp, put it on my Ruger Target version. Obviously ha 22 has about zero recoil, but with this barrel the 24X crosshairs don't even move.
