I am thinking about the cost of those .45's.....shot 150 rounds yesterday and with range cost and ammo it was over $80, I want t be able to shoot more for less.

Reloading is a solution as well....but rimfire is cheaper and less hassle. I do both.

I went through about 600 rounds yesterday with my MKIII and it only cost me about $20 Wow I sure do enjoy shooting rimfire!

Here are some quick phone pictures to reinforce my vote for a Mark Series.

Papayfloyd I felt the same way about the 22. Let me tell you I have a Mark III hunter ss. One word FUN. I shoot the .22, than follow up on the target with .45. That's after I shoot allot of .22.

A mkII and a conversion are about the same price. With that said I love my ruger MKII. I put a red dot on it for a while and had a lot of fun shooting running ground squirels with it. For a trail gun I take the red dot off for convenience. Much more handy than a conversion.

I have the sig conversion for my 226 and it is great but then i only paid $50 for it because a shop was closing them out I also have a mark II target and it shoot so much better. The conversion is great for practicing sight picture drills and cheap trigger time with your 220. I am luck to to have the best of both world.
