Is it possible to rechamber a 12c?

I have an old 12 c that is in great shape. One issue is that the bullets would always stick in the chamber. Come to find out somebody had drilled out and threaded an insert in the barrel. Is normal? Does naybody know who can redo this in CA?

    Thanks

Many old 22 rimfires have the barrels relined from years of abuse (rust, cleaning rods, etc). Many were relined with short or long chambers with a short leade and can be rechambered for the longer leade of the long rifle chamber.

Hang it on the wall. The cost to have it repaired would exceed the value. It stopped having collector value when it was messed with the first time. A # of the 12c models were redone to hold only 22 short, for use a gallery guns. They did this when the 12B models wore out and there was a fair supply of inexpensive 12C models around. Way back when it was cheaper to modify and repair than to buy new.

If you still want to mess with it her is the answer to all your problems:

$83.50 gets you a finished new barrel.

My model 12a loves Colibri's. The poor rifle came to me looking like a rusty tomato stake with a bore to match. I refinished it to at least look good and cleaned the bore as best as I could. Surprisingly even with almost no rifling it will shoot 1" groups with any ammo @ 25 yards and about 2.5 @ 50. Good for my eyes and open sights.
I usually shoot shorts and cb caps at the range and Colibri at home. The Colibri are silent, feed great and I have never had one stick in the barrel.
