    GSG doesn't like BVAC .22lr

Anyone else have an issue with the Bitter Root Valley Ammo in their GSG's?

I recently bought a 500 round brick of this stuff after hearing that it functioned well in someone's AR Ciener kit I bought some to try in both my Ciener Kit and GSG. It seemed to work fine in my Ciener and my brother's CMMG .22 kit, but when it came time to use the GSG I kept having issues with FTE's and FTF's. My gun was definitely dirty so I thought maybe doing a quick cleaning would help, but the FTE's and FTF's continued. After shooting about 200 rounds like this I decided as a last ditch effort I would break out some of my old faithful CCI Mini Mags to determine whether it was the Gun or the Ammo. CCI functioned flawlessly all 100 rounds Fired and Ejected as they should.

Does anyone have an experience with BVAC they care to share or and opinion as to why I kept having these issues?

First of all, I nominate you for the Best Avatar EVER!!!

Secondly, I've never had the issue with bulk Federal, or CCI (obviously not a bulk ammo), but my gun definitely doesn't like Remington Golden Bullets, or aguila. I guess I will just add BVAC to the list of do not buys for .22lr

I believe that closer examination would reveal that BVAC 22 ammo is just re-packaged Armscor ammo from the Phillipines. I used BVAC 22lr in a bolt gun without issue except that it wasn't the best for accuracy but did seem to hit them squirrels with a nice walop. I also shot some BVAC 22 WMR ammo, again I think its Armscor in a new dress. It was pretty accurate but with 20% fail to fire I gave up on it. Never had a problem with CCI 22 WMR in the same rifle. I have not purchased anymore of either since the first bricks.
