I filmed a gentleman's AR-7 that was having some jamming issues. If anyone has any suggestions of why it is jamming, please let him know. I believe he is a Calguns member and I hope he finds this video.

ArmaLite AR-7 Jamming issues

The 2nd series looks like an ejector problem - the brass case isn't getting kicked out, it appears to me. The 1st and 3rd series may be a magazine feed lip problem - looks like the nose of the bullet is coming up too high, too soon.GOA Member & SAF Life Member -
Mine has issues with the magazine lips. If they are bent up to steep or pushed down to far it wont feed. Have him look at the front lip of the mag's and see what kind of angles they have.Son, one day you will make a girl very happy, for a short period of time. Then she will leave you and be with men who are ten times better than you could ever hope to be. These men are called Marines.Comment

The one thing I noticed is when the bolt blows back, the stack of rounds are pushed downwards and when the bolt moves forward again, the next round isn't against the feed lips yet so it doesn't have anything to guide it solidly.
They said the mag is new though, and the problem is consistant with all ammo they have tried. Maybe the new mags have weak springs also?I film guns in slow motion.Comment
