i really have no clue but you think a 22 blank would have done the trick???
just needed a little more powder no?

But, the brass is shorter than a normal .22lr so, it's going to foul the end of your chamber just like shooting .38 special from a .357.

As far as noise goes, if I'm shooting them from my Contender, I hear the hammer fall and then I hear the bullet hit the target. I used to sit on my couch watching TV and shoot soda cans through the front doorway and across the road during comercials. Yea, I was 1/2 mile back in a private canyon with a gated road and, I had good visibility out the windows. It was 100% safe and legal.

Do you think it would be OK to shoot out of the little Cricket rifle?

You should have called me. I've squibed several of these in rifle barrels and have always been able to get them out easily.

NO!!!!! That's a good way to BLOW UP your entire gun. NEVER use a blank or another round to try to clear a squib or a foreign object from a barrel.
It is about the stupidest thing one can do (I'm not calling you stupid for asking).

YES! Just keep a good cleaning rod or brass rod around to clear potential squibs with. Also, pay attention to signs of the bullet hitting the target. If you do not see of hear the impact, check the bore to make sure it's clear and then just keep having fun!

Colibri and a Cricket seems like the perfect combination, sans potential squibs. What's the barrel length of a Cricket?
I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.

Yes the Colibris will get stuck quite often but not the Super's lube the barrel 1st w a blast of WD40 also a 3/16 lenght of brass brazing rod is what I use to remove squibs. Let the rods inertia tap the bullet out by sliding down the barrel. I mainly use CB long in the Lux & it's quieter than a pellet gun & way quieter than any Colibri out of a pistol.

I've fired both out of my S&W M&P 15-22 without any issues. I also keep the barrel pretty clean, so I'm sure that helps. You could also try CCI CB Longs, which are about as quiet as the Super Colibri. There's no warning on its packaging or website saying that it can't be fired out of rifles and they've fired out of my 15-22 without issues as well.

Ive fired super collibri out of my MKII 22/45 and my 10/22. Both shot reliably and quietly. With the 22/45 pistol I had about the same ampunt of sound as shooting an airsoft gun. Shooting the 10/22 it was the click of the hammer followed by the thwack of it hitting whatever i shot.
