    GSG 5 Parts (Help)

I took my GSG 5 apart for cleaning and decided to clean out the bolt carrier group because I can hear a grinding noise when I worked the bolt carrier. Kind of like the sound of sand grinding metal. Anyway, I was putting it back together and noticed the nut that the bolt stop screw went into was missing. I looked for it for about an hour, then took off for Orchard's to see if I can find a nut to replace it. The nut I found was 8/32. Tried to place it in the bolt carrier group, but it was too big.

Anyone know where I can find a spare nut or what size that nut is? Much appreciated fellas.

I'm afraid not. But I think the hex nut size is #6-32...I bought a #8-32. The bolt fits, but the hex nut itself is slightly too big for the housing of the bolt carrier. I ordered some steal hex nuts #6-32. I'll let you guys know if that works.

So #6-32 doesn't fit. It's a tad too big. I'm headed to my friend's shop to see if He has #4 or #5, 32 thread count.

The GSG is imported, so the nut might be metric.

IIRC, these guns are made in Europe
                the hardware is probably metric.

Yeah...It's metric. But I did contact ATI thinking that the warranty on the GSG ended with the last owner. Turns out I was wrong.

Not only are they sending me parts, but they're sending me spares to boot, & free shipping. ATI really does have great customer service.

I'll measure the nut, as soon as, I get a hold of it. That's if anyone that owns a GSG 5 still wants to know. But then again, you can always contact ATI for free parts if it's under warranty.
