Tactical rimfire matches

Did some searching and could only find the precision match that's normally posted here.

Was wondering if anyone knew of a tactical (3-gun) type of match for rimfire. Obviously pistol and rifle sans the shotgun.

I'd like to participate in a match of some sort with my ar22, and the only one I'm finding (the precision match) would leave me in the dust (running a red dot, no scope).

Is my fate to either throw the 223 upper on or buy a bolt action rimfire rifle?

ummagawd, the majority of the shots are withing 100 yards and at targets within 2 inches. The 50 yarders are smaller but not impossible. most of the matches require you to practice your DOPE settings but a shot at 80 yards on a 2 inch disc could be considered average. If the opportunity presents itself, you should definitely come by for the match and we'd love to have you take a few shots. For about the price of a 16X scope, you could compete with no problem and the guys are more than willing to help with any issues. Heck, we had a guy there who had to borrow a rifle and did well. Please keep in touch and maybe it'll be something they guys can help start.

Brian, I would love to come check it out. All i have right now is an eotech with a 3x magnifier. I havent had a chance to see what kind of groupings ill get at even 50yd... But at any rate, would still love to come. I'll keep my eye out for the next one. We'll see what my cmmg upper can do

Yes , coronasportsmensclub puts on a nice rimfire match that you can use your AR rimfire rifle plus semi auto pistol in. We are are working on a true tactical course that will be rimfire only. Stay tuned

The first Saturday of every month Timberwolf puts on a 22 precision/tactical match at "A Place to Shoot" near Magic Mountain.

Ive done one of the matches at a place to shoot and it was fun but I would love to see a "three" gun match. Most of us have a precision rifle, tactical carbine, and handgun so to incorperate all three would really make it a cool event.

Yea a 3-gun type with all rimfires would make me feel so much better about this hobby haha.

Tha is for the responses, glad to see there are a number of people interested in this.

The "place to shoot" match was the other one I read about that I felt I wouldn't be competitive since they all seem to shoot super accurate scoped bolt rifles.

Not that I'm any good haha, but I didn't want to feel hopeless
