    Decent scopes for S&W MP15-22?

So does anyone have any input on some decent scopes for the S&W MP15-22? Im looking for something preferably under $100. I was thinking something like BSA or Barska but I dont want to throw my money away on a piece of junk either. I just want it for Varmint Hunting and I dont need a huge magnification probably just like a 4x, a cheap Tactical scope could work as well. Let me know what you guys think/recommend or use.

I love my weaver 1x3x20. Both eyes open shooting close range and then 3x for longer range. Great for rabbits and squirrels. shop around you can pick one up for under 140. Good Japanese glass.

Any decent scopes on Amazon for under $100? For hunting small game and plinking, should I go red dot or magnified scope? Lastly, are there any scopes or red dots that can clear the factory iron sights so I dont have to remove them or invest in the folding iron sights?

Don't buy BSA, Barska, Simmons, NcStar etc. You can go Bushnell, Vortex, Nikon, or Leapers. I have ran several Leapers on a similar style .22's and they work 100% as any. After all, it is just a .22

Or, if your rifle doesn't already come with iron sights, you can buy a good quality set for around $100 and then start saving for a scope that will actually be functional and dependable with repeatable adjustments with no wandering zero.

Agree with CH555, I've been using the Leapers 4x compact (light and short!) on 2 of my 22's for over a year (shoot every week). Great scope! $25 at Midway. I have a spare that I put on my Gamo springer for a while as a test. No probs.

also using a leapers scope on my 10/22. holds zero and has 4x zoom. cost was around the $50 mark.

Umm... check the gun part sales forum. Somebody might have a Nikon 4x32 RF, or something similar, for sale. I'm just saying...

just an update I went with a Leapers scope. Here's the link http://leapers.com/prod_detail.php?m...atus=&mtrack=m. It only cost about 60 w/ rings. I'll post another update with pictures of it mounted when it gets delivered.
