    New rimfires for me. Just ordered. Can't wait.

    Just ordered a Ruger 10/22 Tactical Target model along with a Ruger Mark III Target model pistol.

    They'll actually be presents for my son and wife, respectively (and also for me too of course!). They are going to be so surprised and excited once they see them. I can't wait to see the look on both of their faces...priceless.

    2 great choices!
    Both will last long enough for the future grand kids and their kids to shoot them.

              Argh...can't wait for these things to get in so I can start the paperwork. Only issue I'll have is hiding them from my wife and son until Christmas. I know long time. Especially since my wife is an NRA certified pistol instructor and member of her own gun range, so she's in and out of our safe fairly regularly...Mostly for pistol. Maybe I can hide them in the back of the safe, and stash the pistol down on the bottom in the back.

              Maybe she won't notice.

              Actually, just realized I can hide them in my friends safe. That's what I'll do...

              @Bigdaddyguns - That's a beauty...can't wait to pick mine up.

                FYI, you can can start the rifles paperwork before it arrives. For the handgun you have to start when it arrives.

                  Yeah, but that would mean, I have to make 2 extra trips. I'm just excited to get them and get the family out shooting. This will actually be a rifle for my son to grow into. He's 7 years old and right now has his own Mossberg .22. After he gets comfortable and really good with that rifle and the iron sights I'll have him start using this Ruger with some optics on it. Not sure what scope I'll put on it yet.

                  The wife has been already making her Christmas list and has this pistol on it. So I figured I'd just go ahead and pick it up now and be done with that.
