    DROS'ing my Single Six

I bought a Lipsleys 4 5/8inch SS last week and it made it to my local gun store today so tomorrow I am doing my DROS. Cant wait to shoot it. Im on a waiting list for a factory Ruger birdshead grip frame at Midway the gun is going to look sick with the grips on and out of the norm for a 22lr/22Mag revolver.

Man, you lucky dog. Sounds good. Have fun with that piece. Like to pick one up when I save enough coin.

Congrats. I got a little Ruger Single-Six for my 12th birthday (20 years ago) and it was about the most exciting day of my life up to that point. I had no idea you could modify a Single-Six with a bird's head grip frame. I love the look...may have to get on that backorder waiting list myself! Enjoy yours.

I cant decide between the convertible single six and the single six hunter with the 7.5" barrel and built in scope mounts....

I just wish Ruger would have made these with a 9 shot cylinder like the High standards had... or even the 12 shot cylinder that United States Firearms makes (very spendy for a SA .22 revolver though)
