HMR .17 upper for AR-15 lower?

Was just thinking that I haven't seen this anywhere yet. Does anyone make an upper for HMR .17? It would be sweet! Thanks for any info. c good

funny, I was thinking about this today.

but with all the failures of .17 caliber autos, i doubt it will ever happen.

The only .17 HMR semi-autos I am aware of were recalled. Something about the pointy little bullet, short shoulder and relatively long casing causing serious feeding issues.

i had the same idea a while back. in theory, it is the most awesome rimfire ar (no bullet button, but still takes down yotes). now that it is available, i just cant bring myself to spend the money.

i have a blast with my cmmg/cienier kit. and plan to buy a chiappa upper.
