    Wow! $1300 for a 10/22.
There was a cal-gunner awhile back that had the SAW conversion kit for his 10/22, he was selling it for like $600? Maybe a little less. Looks cool....but I have shot, and carried a REAL SAW M249, so I think this would be a little disappointing to me, lol.

that and it wouldn't be fully auto either which would take away from the SAW cool factor too.

I think people would laugh when you walk up, have 25 rounds hanging off in a belt, pull the trigger and 22 shells come flying out.

Isn't that the same guys buying 30rd pmags and making them 10rd mags?

We're all airsofters at heart. I don't care what anyone says... i'd buy one if they weren't so expensive.

Yeah and some of us are lucky enough to have RAW and just chuckle at all the airsoft loving mall ninjas and shake our heads a little as we drop our Beta mags.

Edit: Well after reading the add for his "dress up" kit and seeing the big bold green "we do not ship to Ca." it's clear that Dbags do stuff like this.

Love the pic where it shows a 10/22 next to his dressup kit and says turn this into this. I was looking for the part of the add that said to add Brawndo...It's got what guns want.

                    kind of.

but ever try loading a C-product 10 rounder from a mag pouch during a carbine class? not very fun. No mag pouches worked well, i ended up storing them in a dump pouch, and even then was less than ideal.

the 30 round bodies are 100x easier to grab/manipulate.

i wouldnt 100% compare a 10/30 to a windowed 10/30 with empty casings trying to look like a fully loaded mag.

i will agree with you. I still think we would all be doing the same thing regardless though. Lets face it... calguns = the home of wannabe arisofters

I mostly shoot tactical precision bolt matches (see sig line) and i find that the 10rd AICS mags are more useful for using the mag during positional stages (use for support in offhand positions etc), it is easier to handle the mag during changes, and it just looks cooler I rarely ever load it up to 10rds but i still use it over my 5s which usually stay in my cargo pockets for spares in case of a malfunction.

I don't own any of the windowed PMAGs but i have considered it in the past

Sure as hell not buying a 10/22 kit for $1200.
I converted my 10/22 from an M249 airsoft body myself.
It was a lot of fun grinding and cutting and finally shooting it.
I figured 10/22 are cheap enough that if you butchered it, you can buy another one for less than $200.

I too carried and fired the real M249, but since I can never own it living in PRK, I figured I'll make one out of a 10/22 plus my kids love shooting it and doesn't cost much to let them tear up soda cans and water bottles.

Disclaimer: Aluminum cans and plastic bottles are picked up and recycled afterwards; also use proceeds to buy more .22LR ammo
