    Ruger Charger build

    I am asking if this is possible to build this pistol, with the following parts and be a legal to own this pistol build.
    * Charger stock
    * 80% Receiver, finished by me.
    * A cut down and turned, 10/22 rifle barrel that I have lying around in the shop.
    * And the trigger group and other miscellaneous parts to complete the receiver into a working pistol.

    Thank you for your input.
    Very interesting!!

    I believe you would have to put a magazine lock on it, due to the magazine being located outside of the grip. Even though it is a .22 it would be considered an AW.

      ^ This is correct.
      Mag lock + 10 rounds max magazine.

          I'm asssuming your barrel would be under 16", yes? Handgun AW law would apply and that means a fixed 10 round magazine. How about a 10/22 rifle receiver with a 16.25" bbl and Charger stock with an OAL greater than 26" instead? Put a handgun scope on it, trade a few inches of bbl length for the ability to use (legally owned) detach magazines of any capacity.
