    High Standard CA legal

please excuse the noob question, this being my first post, but I want to buy my wife a gun from her past, and she's got fond memories of a high standard .22.

Only problem is, that I can't find high standard on the CA approved list. Am I missing something??

    thanks,
    Jonny

This is a higher end item and I don't think they would consider changing it to conform, ie, mag disconnect & LCI.

It sucks, the roster is keeping me from what I want right now too.

        Jonny,

High Standard pistols are for the most part Calif exempt ...I buy them every chance I get. They are Olympian pistols and the old ones are curio

        Looky Here:

Good info. Does this apply to the new ones as well?

Can't say for sure...Have not bought one of the new ones. But the Olyimpic list has no serial # range...so if it fits the list, GTO?

As long as the particular model is on the exempt list, you can get the new ones. I wouldn't buy any of the Houston models though, Hamden for me all the way.

Olympic style/target grade pistols are exempt from the roster because of their use in competition. there are a bunch of qualifiers, so do the research first

thanks for all the info and the gracious welcome. I'll do some more research on the older high standards, any recommendations?

A Curio & Relic license opens up your opportunites

                      It's ONLY $30 + the fingerprint card...it's a Federal License.

Most of the really good High Standard pistols are over 50 years old anyway
