does any body know if is ok to put the ati stock on my 22. glenfield marlin model 60????????/ or the bullup stock?????


does the same laws apply from remfire then centerfire???

The stocks should work, as I don't believe there is any major (external) difference between the old Glenfield 60s and the modern Marlins. The bolt holes and whatnot should all line up.

The Assault Weapon laws do not apply to rimfire rifles. Pistol grips, folding stocks, flash hiders and whatnot are fine. Just be sure that the overall length of the rifle in its shortest operable configuration is at least 26 inches and you'll be fine.

The older Marlins (especially the Glenfields) have the longer barrels...so you can stick 'em in Bullpup stocks, folding stocks...etc

Although, folder I prefer is the Ramline Lockarm for the Marlin 70 from Numrich for $14.90...

You have to add a $9 ATI SKS-retrofit kit to make it a folder...for a total of $25

There's a reason Marlin 795's are catching up quickly to the Ruger 1022...
Less expensive outlay on the rifle itself...
Accessories are less expensive, (same 10/22 stock goes for $89 )
Better factory barrel...
Trigger assembly thru DIP is WAY less expensive than a Ruger assembly...($75 as opposed to $200+ for Rugers)

Heck, all ya really need with a 795 is a nifty stock (I'm not fond of standard stocks), Trigger Job,
Tech-Sights & some Hi-Capacity Mags...wish someone would make some Hi-Caps for the Marlin

Ramline used to make 30-round mags for the model 70 (the daddy of the 795), but they've wussed out and failed to do anything for the 795.
