For comparison, I just bought 550 Remington golden bullet 22lr rounds for $18.97 at wally's. No ammo can included.

Yeah, Sweet deal. I just ordered one yesterday for my CMMG kits...my wife wouldn't let me order two.

Not to change the topic but does anyone have a good idea what type of shelf life these rounds would have in that ammo box? We talking years or decades?
Also would it make sense to invest now in multiple boxes or is there a chance the price will drop more in the future?

Why not head to Wally world for their Federal bulk (.22 value pack)? I paid $0.034 a round, versus $0.038 your deal. Don't have to wait for them to ship, either.

as the op stated, he can't find his local wal-marts that stock .22lr since they keep getting sold out.

                Ah, missed that! Sorry OP

I hope your Wally world gets ammo stocked soon, the local one was barren until (oddly enough) they removed the ammo restriction a couple of weeks ago.

I would recommend investing in ammunition for any gun you like shooting before AB 962 goes into effect, particularly handgun ammo. It can only get scarcer, more expensive, etc., supply and demand. From my experience, ammo has a shelf life similar to motor oil.

All WalMarts in Alameda County don't sell firearms or ammo.Have had good luck several times in Tracy for Federal .22.
