The umarex isn't out yet so get the gsg if you want it now. No one knows the quality of the umarex yet.

I didn't realize prices are dropping that low. That's a good price for a new GSG5.

You won't regret buying it. It's a fun gun to shoot. I have a GSG5 2nd generation and an MP 15-22. Between the two, I like shooting the GSG5 more but hate cleaning it. Too many screws to remove. While the MP is so easy to clean, it is made almost entirely of plastic and feels like a toy than a real rifle.

I will say The gsg is one of the most fun .22s that I've owned.

          Grab the GSG
Umarex's version of the M-4 has a cheap look/feel to it
I don't expect they will do much better with the HK

I was debating between the GSG-5 and M&P 15-22l. I opted for the M&P b/c of its AR functions and aftermarket support.

I shot my buddy's GSG and wasn't that impressed. A couple of FTE's with federal bulk ammo and I only shot a couple mags worth. To me, the GSG feels more like a toy than the M&P.

              To each his own.

I like the GSG5...I've got that and an AR22 dedicated upper. I shoot the AR more often because I feel like saving the GSG from the use...GSG is more dependable (fewer failures), has a better trigger, and is more fun. For me, that is.
