Wondering if I should go ahead and engrave it. Maybe even do a heat treaded look. Thoughts?

To engrave it, the first thing that has to be done is to strip the blueing off in the area that you want engraved.Frank

Why not? I think an engraved 1890 could look pretty sweet if tastefully done.
