Will this work on a 10/22?

Looking to get a simple scope for my 10/22. Will this one work?

My rifle already as the Weaver style base. It currently has a scope on there now but sometimes a few of the kids have a bit difficulty looking thru the scope as they are learning, and I'm thinking something like this might be easier for them. If this is not a good one I'm open to suggestions also.

Yes, it will work. But, for teaching people to shoot, I prefer to teach people how to use irons. Once they have shown proficency with irons, I allow them to move down to using optics and other crutches.

The kids shoot fine with iron's. I'm just guessing that since they are new to the scope it's a bit awkward for them. With a red dot sight it would be alot easier for them to look thru and once they get use to that they can try the scope again.

The 5 MOA dot maybe a little large for plinking at soda cans/golf balls at anything beyond 50 yrds. The large dot will cover a target of 2.5" at 50 yrds. Shooting for the young should be fun and full of win. The red dot helps to train ones eye/brain to look trough a tube to see the target align a dot and shoot, otherwise eye relief or scope use is learned with a small objective and low magnification scope.

While I agree with CSA on learning to use Irons first, sometimes getting the kids interested and enthused is also part of the challenge.
Red dots / holo sights / glowing green or red fighter plane style recticles just sucks the kids right in.

Sure does! My nephew loves the tru-glow sights on his youth .410

I think the red dot will be fun, maybe with a quick detach, so they can switch to the scope when they feel like driving nails.
