    .17 HMR Bolt Action

Any recommendation on a .17 with good accuracy?

I like the Savage in .17hmr. For less than 200 bucks, the price is right too.

I just bought a Savage 93TR "tactical" bolt gun in 17 HMR. I am in the process of trying to find what it prefers. At 100 yards on a windy day I was able to get about 1 1/2" using 20 gr. Hornady ammo. There was a pronounced shift in point of impact when I went to a 17 gr round.

CZ 452 Varmint could be your next choice. Cost a little bit more money though. I got one and it shoot .75 inches at 100 yards with Hornady.

I have a .22 WMR already and thinking about selling it and get a .17 HMR for some small games.

Sako Quad....if you get tired of paying the price for 17 HMR, you can get another barrel and shoot 22LR, 22 WRM, or 17 HM2

I have a Savage 93r17 and really like it. It was afairly inexpensive rifle but performs well. I don't like the Accu-Trigger as well as the Riflebasix I had in my first one but after you get used to it you can put'em into small groups. Wind is a big factor with the 17HMR though, that little projectile gets pushed around like a Band Geek with a stiff breeze.

                  I agree.
You'll never regret buying one of these unless you never use it much.

No hold over out to about 150 yards or so.
