I'm so old I bought this BCC (Before Butler Creek) started making them.
    Same stock, just BCC.
(Always use an 18" or longer barrel to keep the legal minimum length with the BC stock folded).
    Here's my Zombie Blaster:

Note hollow aluminum pivot pin to reduce stock weight two ounces.

What is your total length and what is your barrel length?

OAL 27 1/4" without the muzzle tip added on.
        18" barrel.
Must be 26"+ minimum for rimfire.
Centerfire AR & AK with folders etc must be 30"+ per CA law.

Would a 16" barrel plus an 1" flash suppressor would work? That will make 26.25"

Yes, but the flash suppressor will have to be permanently attached to the barrel (by a drop of weld securing the holding cross-pin in place; if a slip-on type, weld it directly to the barrel. The flash suppressor must be made of steel to weld it on, I know there are aluminum ones out there that should not be used in this application).

I know I am paranoid, but only .25" longer than minimum is cutting it close.
While legal, I prefer to go a little longer in case an aggressive anti-gun state or federal District Attorney's tape measure is somehow a little shorter than mine before we get to court.
The 18" barrel gets you 1" over the minimum, it's no real handicap and I am much more comfortable with this length than the bare minimum.

(Flame suit on; waiting for the 26.00005" long guys to yell at me).
