    I just took my (passed) fathers old 1948 model #74 to the range for a few rounds and to see if this rifle is as cool as I remember when I was a kid. You should have seen the looks when I pulled the long tube magazine out of the *** end of the rifle. LOL. It was classic! I shot some VERY old ammo through it marked "peters" with a price tag of $.37 per box of 50!!! Shot just fine thank you. I put some CCI standard velocity 22LR 40 grain round nose lead Target ammo into it and it would not cycle reliably with more than 4 in the magazine at a time. 5 was a failure to feed every time, where the bullet tip was pushed up above the opening in the barrel.
    What ammo are you all (successfully) using in your rifles?

      What Brand/type ammo are you all (successfully) using in your rifles?
      Plated? HP? Jacketed? Grain weight that feed reliably?
