    Recommend a 10/22 Trigger Group

Need to replace my 10/22 trigger group with something with a target style. Mine feels like two rocks rubbing together

Looking for single stage, adjustable to 1-2lb pull (if this is even possible in a semi) and absolutly no creep. Price is open.

    So, what is out there

I am by no means an expert, but my buddy's 10/22 with Volquartsen trigger and internals is quite nice, not sure on weight but very crisp break with no creep at all. I believe Kidd also makes a trigger group for the platform that should get down to your 1-2 lb weight requirement, although I have no hands on experience with them I hear they make quality products. I'm sure the rimfire gurus will come along shortly to get into the finer details

There is a plethora of sites/sources out there. If you are into a little smithing Brownell's has many good quality parts as do other sites. If you want complete assemblies, you can spend 100s on very nice custom trigger groups. The sky's the limit on this stuff.

Tony Kidd makes the best triggers for a 10/22. Actually some of the best triggers period.

His triggers can be adjusted from 6oz to 2.5lbs.

Is it expensive for a 10/22? yes

I put a Volquartsen hammer and sear kit in my stock trigger for $40 and it feels like a match trigger now.

I would start with that and see if it gets you where you want to be.

I put a VQ trigger group in my 10/22 and could not be happier.

                  Got it from Brownell's:

Cannot speak to the Kidd triggers, but they sure have been getting great reviews. Maybe in my other 10/...

VQ has some epic parts and there is some others that are great too... But you can make your std Ruger TG work great but doing a little smithing on them.
Lots of great info on the net you can do yourself...

Volquartsen gets you a decent 2-3LB trigger For about $50-$200 in parts - varies based on if you replace a few parts or the whole assembly.

I run the VQ action kit on my 10-22 I use for taking people to the range to have them plink. Its good.

For me I use the Kidd trigger on my regular use 10-22. It is the best. The website shows the two-stage but from what I have heard, there is a single stage as well. They haven't been able to update the webpage but there is a Kidd single stage trigger. Both are the best.

The cost is more but it is worth it.

I think I can be called a certified 10/22 nut and with that I recommend the Power Custom adjustable sear and hammer kit. I have done most of my trigger work myself but really like the PC for drop in. A great trigger group housing worth looking at is the one from Rimfire Technologies. It is a 10/22 tinkerer's housing and is good looking to boot. If you can afford it and don''t want to build your own...go with KIDD!

I myself have the Volquartsen TG2000. It's a complete drop in ready to go trigger group. For the price, it is awesome! I think I have around $200 into it. If you want the absolute best, go with the KIDD. The Volquartsen is perfect for my needs and works awesome, but if you really want to go the extra mile, KIDD is the way to go.

Where are you located? I know a lot of people don't mind letting you try theirs before you go buying something. Maybe there is someone local to you with a VQ or a KIDD you can try?

                              1) Volquartsen
                              2) Herm Tom's Hornet products total or he rebuilds your trigger group
