Suggestions for .22lr

I'm looking for a .22lr rifle with these characteristics:

-Self Loading
-Reliable (No big "weak links", easy to replace parts)
-Inexpensive-ish

All I have at this point is an USGI M1 .30 carbine and boy that ammo is expensive and hard to find right now. 500rds for $20-$50 sounds pretty good.

After a few minutes of searching I found this:

Marlin M60 or 10/22 are great for me. I have an M1 carbine and built an AR for the same ammo reason.

I like the Marlins

Marlin Papoose for fun. Very reliable and so cool.

Less sturdy, but really cool is the Henry AR-7, that fits into the stock. But, it is quite delicate to me and I miss the last shot bolt not held open.

Can't beat the Ruger 10/22 .I have had mine since 1974 . It takes a liking and keeps on ticking and there are more aftermarket parts than you can shake a stick at.

I bought my savage 64 for 135.00 and put the 125.00 extra I would have spent on a 10/22 bought about 3500 rounds of federal bulk pack.

I have two 10/22 stainless in synthetic stocks that I bought to go plinking with my sons. They have been as reliable as anything I own.

I am partial to lever action .22's though. I love my Winchester 9422 XTR's.

I have three that I will probably never (never say 'never', right?) get rid of.

I also have a Marlin lever action 22 from the early 60's that is also a favorite.

Well I think have just about made my choice, thanks for the input guys! Masterdebater, I'd jump on your 795 if we were closer. I live up in Sacramento. First thing's first though - I need to convince my wife that I need another rifle
She's just uncomfortable about guns, she didn't grow up around them. She understands the importance of armed and educated citizens in a representative democracy.

Anyways, I'll probably go with the Marlin 795 or the Ruger 10/22
