    Building a ar-22 question...

Sold an .223 upper I had, all I have left is a complete lower meant for the upper that was sold.

Now, can I throw on a .22LR spikes dedicated upper and then remove the BB?

This will be my DEDICATED .22 rifle

To be more specific, is it legal to remove the BB when:
1-The spikes .22 dedicated upper is installed
2-The buffer tube spring and buffer are still in the tube
3-the lower is marked cal 5.56

And please, no "well that dont look legal", Even though I know most of you arent lawyers, a good "YES" or "NO" (with explanation) will do

What are the do's and dont's of a Dedicated .22LR AR?

Rimfires are exempt from AW laws, so yes, you can remove your BB once you install a .22lr upper.
