    22lr conversion kit accuracy?

i want to get a 22 conversion kit for my ar 1:7 twist 16", i can't decide between spike or cmmg ss kit? how accurate are they at 50 and 100 yrds, or can they go beyond 100 yds like 10/22?, can they compare to those 22lr ar like colt, mp15-22 or sig 522???

My DPMS 1:9 twist 16" with a Ciener kit is good for about 4" at 100 yards. Your 1:7 will likely not do that well, it's too fast a twist for .22LR.

IMO, you'd be better off with either a dedicated upper a la Spike's, or a dedicated weapon like the MP15-22 or the like.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

You can find really good dedicated uppers complete with the bolt for as low as $350 new online...

The normal twist rate for 22 Ar's is 1:16. 1:7 is a lil iffy.
