I steered away from it after reading too many complaints. I bought the S&W A22. It is probably the most accurate pistol I have ever fired. I hit stuff with it at distances that surprise me! Plinking tin cans at 50+ yards and hitting them nearly every time. Changeable barrel sizes, too, up to 10 inches, if I remember correctly. I have the 7 inch barrel. The 10 must be like a rifle!

I bought an older series mosquito(the one with the problems) used and have put about 1000 rounds down the pipe without a single FTF or FTE. Maybe it was broken in well but i think the issue is the type of ammo people are using. I was very skeptical at first, after the numerous bad reviews. I still ended up buying one and couldn't be happier.YMMV

        sig mosquito
        Yes I owned one
Yes I miss that little gun
if you are looking for something to feed bulk pack ammo in it then do not buy this gun! stay away from it or you will be like the rest of the ones complaining about it
if you can afford to feed it quality ammo then get it and you will have tons of fun with it

I got one for my wife; we had a few issues the first trip to the range. After carful cleaning no problems since, about 1000 rounds so far, we use Winchester Super x or CCI ammo, it may handle cheaper stuff now but have not tried it. FTW my wife really has grown attached she loves it.

Winchester 333 was quite a bit of problems
used about 200 rounds weekend past with no problems on Remington cyclone
I have mini mags but they are fare more expensive to shoot. I buy .22 ammo by crate and this Remington is working far better then 333 winchester

keep it lubed and good to go

I love mine. It is not a target pistol like the Ruger, but it is a lot of fun. Just feed it good ammo and it will serve you well.

I probably have 4500 rounds through mine.

I had one, about 1k the first time out with it...I'd say....500-550 jams, ftf, fte. I gave it all the arsen I had from Bulk packs to high grade and hyper velocity...I gave up. Prior to going I broke it in by cycling and a total take down to clean and made sure everything was ready to go.....Store was kind enough to give me store credit and I traded it for a MKIII 22/45, a Mosin M44 with a few box of ammo. LOL, now thats a deal!

PS: I dont know if anyone else had this problem but my bottom rail was slightly bend...I checked out another Mosquito at the store and saw the same thing...

We just picked up a new one (reverse two-tone) last weekend. We only had time to put 200 rounds of CCI mini mags through it, but it was perfect every time.
We shot consistent tight groups at 25 feet.
I cleaned it and followed the 'youtube - how to lube a mosquito' video before the range trip. easy
I will say the one thing I don't like is the trigger. It needs serious help. I'm not a trigger nazi, but this thing is not good. I've heard they're not too hard to clean up. I'm going to give it a shot.
There's a good thread on the mosquito on rimfirecentral and sigforum.
                    Good Luck.
