2 of the 5 .22 rifles in my safe are M60s. a comment earlier about scary accurate is spot on, and with the bolt locked, i have no problems loading the tube. now if i can just find some decent trigger tweeks that don't require a gunsmithing certificate, or journeyman's papers as a machinest, i'd be a really happy camper. rimfirecentral.com has a bunch of stuff folks have done, but it's a little more than "buy parts, install".

the marlin 795 aftermarket world is growing fast, soon there will be as many people making parts for them as the 10/22, well maybe not as many but alot! there is also growing support for a certain mag co to start making 25 round mags again for the 7 series marlins. also we can thank bill clinton for the gun ban, forcing marlin to make a mag cath specific to marlin mags only, thus restricting us to use only marlin 10 rounders. well its just a nipple of metal that can be shaved down with ease, and ready to take eftermarket hi cap mags. anyone can PM on how to do this.

Yeah, I read some of that stuff on modifications. Good gosh, looks like a CLOCK with all those springs in there. And a lot of the parts are stamped steel - a wonder that it works at all. But those mods looked COMPLICATED!!

And I usually tinker with just about everything - cars, motorcycles, telescopes, BERETTAS (shameless plug)....

Post if you do try the trigger mods.... I'm not sure I need it anyway, not shooting that far and trigger is good compared to most of my handguns!!
