    Spikes or TacSol upper?

Which of the two .22LR uppers is better?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm torn between them, I think I'm going to buy a Spikes to match my lower though, TacSol has such a great reputation though it's hard to choose.

What are the best prices you have found on them so far? I still have a week to wait for the dros on my lower.

I see on their websites that they are roughly the same (between $500 and $600). However, I see the TacSol uppers more available as I know two shops have them.

You want cheap you get the Spikes. But if you want best accuracy then you get the Tactical Solutions upper. There is a VERY good reason why most people who have Ruger's get TacSol uppers for their 10/22's and pistols.

That's what I was starting to lean toward (I flip flop like a politician I swear) since they are so highly regarded in the .22 market (Buckmark/Ruger especially)

I have Tactical Solutions Barrels on my 10/22 and Buckmark, but I have the Spikes upper for my AR. Both company's AR uppers are of excellent quality but the ability to customize your upper on a spikes build makes it the clear winner for me. Order with a Loather Walther barrel and accuracy won't be an issue.

TacSol was (still is?) a CA hating company. Makes them a no-go for me.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with Spikes (the company). Won't support their products.

I use a .mil conversion and it works great for me.

No problems what so ever with Spikes for me. I spoke to their marketing director and after the conversation on the phone he sent a free black dog mag. They are a great company with a good product and great customer service. I will buy many more things from them.

I have both, tacsol all the way. I don't have nor have seen the cmmg. So I can't comment on that.

What barrel is that? I just ordered a ST with 18inch LW bull barrel.

i personally have never used a tac sol but have heard good things about them in terms of accuracy, etc. i personally bought the spikes upper and have been very happy with it. i did have a recoil spring and guide rod break on the upper, but spikes quickly replaced it with a more durable rod and a 4 pack of springs (with a few stickers) for me. great service, decent price, and mix/match customization with my other AR sold me on it.
