    .22 magnum

Do they still make this caliber? If not, what happened? Also, does the ruger .22mag magazine work on .17hmr ruger rifles...if they still make these?

It is still around. Ruger doesn't make the 10/17 or 10/22 Magnum any more, but they still make bolt action rifles and single action revolvers in .22 Mag and .17 HMR. The Ruger rifles in .17 HMR use the same magazines as the .22 Mag Ruger rifles.

I think Remington might still make a .22 Mag semi-auto rifle, but everybody else seems to just make them in bolt or lever action.

Just Google 22 WMR, there's a wealth of info. Marlin has a few tube fed editions similar to the Model 60 but they are bolt action. 882, 883, 982 etc. I've got a Remington 597 in 22 WMR but I think the Marlin may be my next purchase.

I have a Marlin 925M (22WMR). Great rifle, shoots great, not pretty but low priced. Check the "June Rimfire" thread in the next couple of days to see a target shot @ 50 yds with this rifle. Pretty accurate.

USSG imports the Zastava Z-5 bolt rimfires in 22 lr, 17 HMR, and 22 WMR. Very good shooters for the money. They look like miniature big bore rifles. These were previously imported as the Charles Daly Superior II and the Remington Model 5.
