Marlin Model 60 - Range Report

Took my new Malrin .22 rifle out for some practice on Friday. I love the rifle except for the iron sites actually move a little bit from left to right. I don't believe it moves while shooting, but if you bump it, it will. So far it' hasn't killed my accuracy, but I plan on getting a scope.

BTW - all shooting was done with a hasty sling.

    I used a 500 pack of CCI Blazer .22lr

I love just printing out my own targets

I was so anxious to try my Appleseed Shoot targets.

This was a 10 yard scaled simulation out to 300. I scored a 39 first time!!!

I was there over and hour by myself. Man my grouping just got further and further apart as my eyes got tired.

I did two other Appleseed targets and scored and 32 and a 31.

    some nice groups.

    couple things:

I believe all the appleseed shoots are at 25 yards. don't know if the targets you wre shooting were scaled down for 10 yards. Also, Are you shooting a tube feed? It is best to have a removable magazine gun at the shoot as you have to drop magazines as part of the skill building. don't worry about it if you don't have one they have ways to work around it for the tube feed guys. Last, If you can. get yourself some of the Tech sights for the marlin. Makes a world of difference!!!

These Appleseed targets were actually scaled for 10 yards.

      Yes, it's a tube fed.

Ya i've gotta look into some Tech sights, the stock sights are booty. Thanks for the advice.

Here's a link to various Appleseed targets:
