$449 plus tax SF Bay Area. I pick up this week--could I have done better if I investd a lot more time? Yeah, but my time is a high hourly rate--and I prefer to bill if I can ;-)

Rifle Gear has it for $470

Best deal I saw, though it's expired, is with Turners, buy a 556 and get a free 522. That was an amazing deal if you could even afford the 556 that is.

Remember, you will also have to buy optics after getting it, it comes with nothing, not even iron sights. If you already have optics, then you are set. Lastly, as far as I know, all the 522s come with folding stocks.

With folding stock, they still meet minimum length requirements? or is this something rimfires are exempt from?

          Thanks

Semiautomatic centerfire rifles need to be 30" in length, everything else only needs to be 26".

              The 522 folded measures 26.1".

Darn, I worked the Calgun booth and wish I had known that. I wasn't really looking for one, but at that price....hmmmm.

ETA: Do you recall the name of the dealer. If you do, I can call them and see if they will be at the next show and if they will charge the same. Thanks.

Jeez, at that price I'd buy the Sig as well, even though I just bought the 15/22.

I was at Discount Gun Mart in Linda Vista, SD yesterday and they had one for $500....
