    Ruger 1022 ACTION

Where can I get a Ruger 1022 Action. I am researching on building one target gun for myself. Instead of buying the whole gun and upgrade. I am thinking about getting piece by piece.

Google is your friend. Order directly from any of the of receiver manufacturers and have them ship to your low-cost transfer-friendly FFL.

If it were me who was building a "target" gun, I wouldn't let any modern Ruger parts go into my rifle. For a receiver, look for manufacturers like Kidd, M.O.A., or Nodak Spud. Volquartsen and Kidd make fine bolts, &c &c &c

Tactical Solutions is coming out with there own complete rifle, the action has 2 springs instead of 1 like the 10/22, It would be worth checking out.

Last I checked, the market price was $80 for the receiver. By the time you pay for the FFL receiving fees, you are around the price of a basic used 1022.
Of course, if you had a used 10/22, you could sell off the pieces you don't need/want and make some of your money back.
