I've got a marlin 60 that is in need of some mall ninja equipment to help me keep up with those bunnies out here. The factory sights suck to say the least and the scopes I have just take too long to acquire a target. So I was thinking of getting a set of tech sights or an el cheapo panoramic job ($150ish). Are the tech sights the best thing out there or is there hope for those cheaper non-eotech panoramics doing a good job at letting me shoot with both eyes open?

Tech Sights vs panoramic

My only experience with panoramic was an eotech, which is out of the question for a mod 60. Perhaps I would be better off with a reflex sight or tech sight. I haven't used a reflex sight either for comparison. I find myself squinting too much with the factory iron sights to be effective, although I'm usually within a couple inches on paper with it.Comment

What about a Red Dot? Quick target acquistion, large field of view and pretty easy to zero. Might just be the ticket and not too expensive.I've got a marlin 60 that is in need of some mall ninja equipment to help me keep up with those bunnies out here. Wow jonni...I find that pic to be the most compelling argument yet. I'd get a red dot or panoramic if there were a cheap one with a 2MOA dot that isn't crap....but I haven't found one. Looks like the cheapest quality piece is almost 200 bucks. I did find a used aimpoint for $180 with magnifier though. But I would rather have that on an evil gun.Comment
