HELP: slide closes after mag shot empty

    Hi,

Got my Sig Sauer Mosquito .22LR today. Took it to range and shot 400 rounds. Got 4-8 FTF and FTC for the first 50 rounds, but shot flawlessly afterwards. My problem was that the slide closed after firing the last round in the magazine. From experience with and the manuel (pg. 11) "If the magazine has been shot empty, the slide remains in the open position."

What's wrong? How can I fix this? Should I take it back to the gun shop? Call and send it back to Sig Sauer? What can the gun seller or Sig do?

    THANKS

What ammo were you using? Did it happen on evey mag? Yes the slide should remain open after last round! Did you clean and lube throughly before firing the first time?

I have one as well and my our first trip out was frustrating with all the problems, but after a good cleaning and lube, it has been great CCI mini-Mags are the recommened ammo for them, I have only used the Super-X as can not find the CCI. But she works good with that.

Your thumb might be interfering with the slide release.

I've no experience with the Mosquito, but normally there is a pin at the top of the magwell that gets actuated by the magazine follower when its empty. On my bigger SIG you can see it move when you press the slide lock/release lever. If you insert an empty mag, can you see it make contact? If you pull the slide back with an empty mag inserted, does it lock then? Could be a bad mag or a bent/missing pin

+1 my thumb keeps my slide release from locking the slide open. Fat hands + mosquito = no slide hold open
