SW MP15-22 Jam issues?

I have 7 mags for my SW 15-22... every one of the mags, about 5% of the time lands in a "death jam" condition where the rim of the round pops forward between what I would call the "ramp" on the mag- the part that lets the bullet though, but forces the rim to go up and over. At closer look, there are actually little dimples inside at this location- that make even pulling the stuck round out hard to do with bare fingers. You need pliers or a table close by to whack the thing on.

You probably have the older Gen I magazines, S&W will exchange for the Gen II one with the improve feed lips at no charge.

What color is the follower on your mags. Orange = Gen 1/Problematic Blue = Gen 2/Supposedly Fixed ... I say supposedly because my 15-22 w/ mag is on the east coast right now getting "updated to latest specs".

Our 15-22 had the mag w/blue follower as delivered, and the 2nd one we picked up from Discount Gun Works on Monday was blue also.

No probs, no jams, all okay.

The Gen II mags that S&W sent me have orange followers. Towards the bottom of the new mags the words 22LR
25 rounds
are molded in.

I had a few problems but it was all fixed when I started loading them without the asist button/lever
