    Laws for Rimfire Rifle

    I have been out of this for a while now and not updated with the CA laws. Is high capacity mag still ok? Any locate mag laws apply for Rimfire?

    All the (detachable) magazine capacity laws apply to rimfires (only tubular magazines are not restricted in rimfires). If you owned high capacity detachable magazines before Jan 1, 2000 you can continue to use those.

        Negative on the bullet button. You need a 16" barrel, meet the overal length requirement, and don't mount night vision to the rifle and your gtg!

            IIRC, due to the higher pressures, it would not be advisable. But, there have been low pressured rimfire rounds made in a wide variety of calibers from, .17 to +.50 cal. The problem with using odd RF cartridges in modern weapons is that manufacturing rimfire ammo on a small scale is not finacially feasible.

              Next time you think .30-06 or .308 is getting too expensive, look up what they charge for a box of 56-56 Spencer...
