Ammo recommendations for SIG 522? (Update)

Hello:

I have one put on layaway and I like to know of any ammo recommendations for it. I mainly shoot Minimags and Remington Golden Bullets on my 22s. Are those fine? What other ammo brands do you recommend?

I usually break-in my new rimfires with CCI Mini-mags, so you are good to go. I suggest to start with a few boxes of Mini-mags and then feed whatever is there. Also, I haven't heard of any ammo that the 522 didn't devour

I like to shoot MiniMags, but these are getting harder to find nowadays and I don't want to break-in the rifle with a sh***y brand as .22LR is not exactly a clean ammo.

Are there any other good brands you can recommend?

My Winchester value pack actually ran better than CCI Mini-mag.

I havn't found anything that my 522 won't run. I've used winchester value packs, Federal value packs, Fiocchi 40gr, SK standard plus, Agula super maximum, Seriously it eats anything I throw at it. I have over 1k rounds through it I have had two failure to fire. both were with the winchester bulk. I'm gonna say it was the ammo.

I agree with Zman and always break in my semi auto 22s with MiniMags. My 522 really shoots best with Federal 40 grn 710s as far as accuracy. Your 522 should run great with any quality ammunition. Enjoy it.

Mine shoots CCI Mini Mags, Federal Bulk and American Eagle with no issues whatsoever.

SIG 522 eats anything---does not come with an "ammo list" of what will NOT
shoot or instructions about loading the mag so it doesn't jam

I've shot 100 rds so far: 25 CCI-Mini-Mags and 75 CCI-Stingers.

They all fed flawlessly with no hiccups and no jams.

I like to know about Stingers. Are they pretty good? I've seen 3 Walmarts carrying them (Diamond Bar, Cerritos and Foothill/Duarte). They fed flawlessly on my rifle, but I like to read on others' opinions of that CCI round.

I've read that Remington Golden Bullets are not good so I'll leave that to my .22 handguns. What are your opinions on the following .22 ammo for the SIG 522?
Winchester Super X?
Federal Automatch?

I will try the other brands suggested (Win bulk, Fed bulk, American Eagle and Blazers).

WallyWorld had 550 bulk packs of Remington GB, so I bought 2. I had a jam at least once in each magazine. 525 rounds of Federal, and 333 rounds of Winchester with 2 jams total.

From all the reviews I have seen it seems to take any .22 without a problem.
