Ruger MKiii Carbine conversion

Has anyone tried one of these? I think it is made my Ares defense. I was in Turners in Signal Hill today paying for my GP100 and noticed one and wondered if they were any good.

I haven't seen the kit in question, but if you're putting a stock on a pistol, that is a no-no is it not?

not as far as I know with this kit. The only thing used from the MKiii is the lower and the magazine, neither are serialized. Seperate DROS for the upper so I guess its considered a firearm on its own.

With this kit you are simply buying a new rifle, taking a part off of your already owned pistol, and adding it to your new rifle. You still have a pistol and a rifle. As mentioned above, it's because the MkII upper is considered the firearm, unlike most other handguns.
