    .22 Magnum?

Got a Ruger revolver that came with two cylinder options, .22 or .22 magnum.
Gun shoots great and now I am wondering about trying out the Magnum cylinder.
Cant seem to find .22 magnum ammo anywhere, any suggestions?
Is there much of a difference between the two, regular .22 and .22 magnum?

Just a fun plinker gun, and I got a few bricks of .22, so maybe 100 rounds of magnum just to try it out would be fine, but I never see it any where.

22 WMR shoots flatter and hits harder. And costs 3-4 times as much.

    .22 Long Rifle
    Bullet weight - 40 gr. - Velocity 1,082 fps. / Energy - 104 ft.lb.
    Bullet weight - 36 gr. - Velocity 1,328 fps. / Energy - 141 ft.lb.

    .22 Magnum
    Bullet weight - 40 gr. - Velocity - 2,020 fps. / Energy - 360 ft.lb

Did you check WalMart? My Wally always has 22WMR, even during the 'shortage'.
It cannot be inherited, nor can it ever be purchased.
You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and cannot be lent.
You alone and our own have earned it with...Your sweat, blood and lives. You own it forever.

    The title is....."United States Marine".

Okay, WMR is the same as Magnum.
      I will check walmart.
Thanks for the help, and Thanks for providing the exact info I was looking for and not capping on my ignorance.

I know you will wish the 22mag is cheaper because its allot more fun to shoot. I have 2 Ruger single sixes and really enjoy shooting them especially the magnum rounds ,Redhemi
