I picked up my new 522 yesterday, the kind folks at Irvington Arms were holding it for me for 10 days.
I took it home and cleaned it up, stuck the longer butt plate on. I have no intention of folding the stock, but I had to try it just once, and like a lot of folks the clip from the stock remained stuck on the spud, I don't think it's a big deal, just a little sanding on the spud.
I have some fixed Troy sights coming, right now Im going to use a Leupold 2x7 rimfire scope, I set the rifle up on my work bench to check the front sight dove tail, it is 1% off from the rail on the upper receiver, I can live with that considering the rear sight will be adjustable.
All and all I'm happy with the purchase and will go to the range Friday with various brands of ammunition.
I guess the funny part is, the rifle came with a small piece of paper stating the rifle was inspected bt two inspectors, I guess the didn't feel the need to fold the stock
