    Maxed out on scope adjustment?

    Hello,
Was trying to sight in my .17 hmr today and I maxed out on the adjustment to the right. What are my options? Bad mount?

    Thanks all.

Might want to try Millet windage adjustable rings. I ran out of windage so my gunsmith put some on my rifle because the receiver was out of spec and in turn threw the scope mount out of alignment.

Try taking the rings off, flip them, and put them back on.

Another cheap option would be to shim the scope. Playing cards are pretty useful for this. Put a shim on the left side of the scope on the front ring, and if needed you could add one on the right side of the scope on the rear ring.

did you lap in the rings before you mounted your scope?

No, I did not, I will try that now, I have the one piece DMZ rings, claims no lapping needed....

Burris Zee signiture rings , they have a plastic insert that will not leave a mark on a scope and can be changed for ones with different offsets . I have used these for adjustments of about 24 inches in 50 yards

i would think you'd have to have a one-piece base to forego lapping the rings. one piece rings will still torque the tube if the receiver isn't drilled straight

                Check out info here.

You need to give more details for us to help you. Where is POA, POI, distance, pics of target (group size), pics of scope, rings.

Bring target closer? How's the scope mounted?
Easiest is to go to a local range and ask somebody there to help. I've helped very many new shooters w/ scope/sight zero problems; only takes a 5-10 minutes.
