Colt Buntline Scout .22

My buddy found a colt buntline scout in .22 in a box of his dads stuff in the garage.

serial is 99xxxF

I cant find anything on proofhouse that matches..

its a shame since it has tons of rust.. but im just trying to find out how old it is.

saw that section, but nothing starting with 99 and ending with F

In 1960 the numbers ended with 106000F, you list your pistol as 99xxxf that puts as a 1960

Even with tons of rust, it's probably worth cleaning up and using for plinking.

thanks for the help, i was reading it as starting serials.. i guess it does make more sense to put ending serials.

pretty sweet at the range, shoots straight, just need to remove the rust and reblue it now..
